The gel formulation contains 61% w/w ethyl alcohol that kills 99.99% of bacteria, including strains resistant to antibiotics. 3M™ Avagard™ D instant hand antiseptic with moisturizers dries fast and will not leave a sticky residue behind. It does not affect the effectiveness of products with CHG for additional safety. The ethyl alcohol hand sanitizer meets the guidelines of the CDC, WHO and AORN for efficacy. Added moisturizers keep hands soft and prevent skin breakdown, making it an acceptable form of protection for repeated use.
